1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the IGDrop Chrome extension and the IGDrop informational website operated by @pravindawar. IGDrop is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.
2. Information IGDrop processes
IGDrop processes only the information needed to provide its user-facing downloader functionality and preferences.

3. Information IGDrop does not intentionally collect
IGDrop does not intentionally collect or transmit to the developer your Instagram password, authentication credentials, private messages, downloaded media files, download history, payment information, or complete browsing history. The current release does not include developer analytics or telemetry.
4. Chrome permissions
IGDrop requests permissions that support its disclosed single purpose:
- Downloads: starts and tracks downloads explicitly requested by the user.
- Storage: stores IGDrop preferences such as theme and download options.
- Instagram / Meta media host access: allows IGDrop to detect and retrieve supported media the user chooses to save on Instagram and associated media delivery hosts.
IGDrop does not request Chrome browsing-history, debugger, cookies, or broad <all_urls> permission in the current release.
5. Sponsored content and PlayaYield
IGDrop may show one clearly labeled sponsored placement inside the extension popup when the Show sponsored content setting is enabled. Sponsored content is optional and can be disabled from IGDrop Settings.
Ads are provided through PlayaYield, operated by PlayaNext LLC. According to PlayaYield's published privacy policy, ad delivery may process information such as IP address, general location derived from IP, browser and operating-system information, language, extension/application identifiers, device type, timestamps, ad-delivery performance information, and ad interactions. PlayaYield states that its service does not use personal data to build cross-site behavioral profiles and that it does not sell personal data to data brokers.
IGDrop does not intentionally send your Instagram password, private messages, downloaded files, post contents, download history, or Instagram username to PlayaYield for ad targeting.
6. Website data
This static website does not include developer analytics, advertising scripts, account registration, or tracking cookies. If you host this site through a third-party hosting provider, that provider may process standard request/server logs under its own privacy terms.
7. How information is used
Information handled through extension permissions is used only to provide or improve IGDrop's disclosed media-download functionality, save user preferences, maintain reliability/security, and — when enabled — render clearly labeled sponsored content without intentionally transferring Instagram page contents or downloaded media for advertising.
8. Sharing and sale of user data
The developer does not sell user data. The developer does not transfer Instagram page contents, downloaded media, download history, or authentication information to data brokers or advertising platforms. Limited technical ad-delivery information may be processed directly by PlayaYield and its service/advertising partners when sponsored content is enabled, as described above and in PlayaYield's policy.
9. Data retention and deletion
IGDrop does not maintain a developer-operated database of your downloaded Instagram media or download history. Extension preferences remain in Chrome extension storage until you change them, clear extension data, or uninstall IGDrop. Data processed independently by PlayaYield is retained according to PlayaYield's privacy policy.
10. Security
IGDrop is designed to use HTTPS media and service endpoints and Chrome's extension APIs. No internet transmission or software system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but the extension is designed to minimize permissions and avoid intentionally collecting unnecessary user information.

- Disable sponsored content from IGDrop Settings.
- Change or reset preferences stored by the extension.
- Clear IGDrop extension data from Chrome or uninstall the extension to remove locally stored extension preferences.
- Contact the developer with privacy or support questions.
13. Children's privacy
IGDrop is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Users should comply with the age requirements and terms of the services they use.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when IGDrop's functionality, data practices, advertising providers, or legal requirements change. Material data-practice changes should be disclosed before the changed practice begins where required.
