PRIVACY BY DESIGN

Clear permissions. Clear purpose.

IGDrop is designed around one purpose: helping you save supported Instagram media that you are able to access. Preferences are stored using Chrome extension storage, and the developer does not intentionally collect your Instagram password, private messages or downloaded files.

No browsing-history or debugger permission.

No developer analytics or telemetry in the current release.

Optional sponsored content can be disabled in Settings.

Does IGDrop require my Instagram password?

No. IGDrop does not ask you to enter your Instagram password into the extension. It operates on Instagram pages you are already viewing in your browser.

Does IGDrop bypass private-account access?

No. IGDrop is designed to work with content available to your current browser session and does not intentionally bypass Instagram access controls.

Does IGDrop always download 4K?

No. IGDrop selects the highest compatible quality actually available to the browser. It does not artificially upscale media or claim a resolution that Instagram did not provide.

Does IGDrop show ads?

The extension may display one clearly labeled sponsored placement in its popup when sponsored content is enabled. The ad provider is PlayaYield. You can disable sponsored content in IGDrop Settings.

Is IGDrop affiliated with Instagram or Meta?

No. IGDrop is an independent browser extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.
